Vanga Bhasam

Definition:

A very fine powdr obtained after incineration of Vanga (Tin) as per the method indicated in the formulary like; Vanga, Taila (Tila), Takra, Gomutra, Kanjika, Kulattha Kasaya, Vanga, Sinduvara drava(Nirgundi),Ratri(Haridra), Vanga-suddha, Cinca-tvakraja curna, Asvattha-tvak raja curna, Vanga-suddha, Tala (Haritala) suddha and Amla(Nimbu) nira

Description:

A fine yellowish grey and tasteless powder.

Therapeutical uses:

Kasa; svasa; kapha roga; medo dosa; prasveda; Kasaya; pandu; krmi; prameha; garbhasayacyuti; sveta pradarda; rakha pradara; Agnimandya; aruci; buddhimandata; varana; svapnadosa.

Anupana:

Guduvci svara or sattva, honey, ghee, haridra rasa.

Dosage:

125 to 250mg.
