Triphla

Definition:

A fine powder at least of 80 mesh sieve prepared from, Pathya (haritaki), Bibhita (bibhitaka), and Dhatri (amalaki)

Description:

Moderately fine to fine powder, light yellow in colour, odour; pleasant, taste; astringent.

Dosage:

3 to 6g.

Therapeutic uses:

Anaha; Prameha; Netra roga; Kaphapittaroga; Kustha; Mandagni; Aruci; Visama jvara.

Anupana:

Ghee, Honey and warm water.
