Purodil bagged the award for ‘Most emerging brand in wellness category (Derma)’. The 5th Grand edition of Nutrition and Wellness 2019 award took place in Mumbai on 10th December 2019. The award recognises the excellence in various domains viz. research and development, manufacturing, distribution and other support services. In a study published in International Journal of Research in Cosmetic Science it was revealed that Purodil gel showed better percentage inhibition (98%) against P.acnes as compared to clindamycin (84%) at 1 gm/ml concentration. Patients many times get worried about the scars, redness due to acne and pimples Purodil gel is enriched with Kumari (Aloe vera), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Sariva (Hemidesmus indicus) which are known to repair reduce redness of acne damaged skin. Teenagers are the main victims of acne and pimples and due to their junk food eating habits, glycemic load on liver is always high which results in increased androgens and sebum production leading to acne and pimples. The element which act as a key to this chain is 5-alpha reductase which when inhibited decreases sebum production and hence the prominence of acne.
